K.G. Defensive Player of the Year

This almost guarantees Garnett will not win the M.V.P. which is awful. This years M.V.P. should also be called the Kobe Bryant lifetime achievement award, as he will win the award and voters can point to the defensive player of the year award and say see Garnett was recognized. Thats a joke, a record turn around in wins and attitude and complete domination of the NBA almost completly because of 1 man Kevin Garnett.

That did cross my mind

I did think “he’s not winning a MVP” after this news was announced. At the same time I was happy to see KG – one of the best defenders of all time – get recognized. He joins an elite group. Jordan, Mutombo, Ben Wallace ( 4 times, really?), Alonzo, Hakeem, Rodman, the Admiral, Mark Eaton (twice!) and others. KG definitely deserved it.
